This cable is used for audio connections between devices that use TOSLink connectors such as: Dolby Digital Receivers, Digital Signal Processors, DAT Machines, DivX Players, DVD & CD players, DSS receivers, DAT players/recorders, MINI Disc players/recorders, Sony Playstation 2, xBox, ALESIS, or any other components that use normal full-size TOSLink connectors.

TOSLink cables provide superior accuracy for signal transfer of digital information from one component to another and offer better definition and clarity. They are specifically engineered for digital signal data transfer. Optical signal offers more digital information at higher speeds and only a cable manufactured with glass fiber will provide this extra data.
